Illinois ASBO provides a comprehensive range of professional development activities for school business officials, superintendents and educational support professionals. Our programs offer educational leaders and their staff the tools to be more effective leaders. These include more than 100 yearly single-day workshops ranging from bookkeepers to technology directors, administrator academies for professional development tracks designed to fulfill the facilities or support staff designation programs and University-sponsored degree programs in school business management. Finally, the yearly Annual Conference provides more than 70 breakout sessions in a two days to foster education and networking.
Educators are leaders, and leaders stay on top of changes within their profession.
These professional development opportunities stay in touch with best practices, legislative mandates and changes within the school business management profession. Professional Development Committees create the content for these programs; that means colleagues and peers are keeping abreast of what is happening in school business management.
The Illinois ASBO Designation Program enhances your job skills and empowers you to work smarter and more efficiently in the school business office. Designed by school business managers, the program was created specifically for support professionals. The syllabus provides a guide to grow professionally and become an invaluable asset to the school district.
